Imaging Services at Coastal Women’s Healthcare
We offer comprehensive obstetric, gynecologic, and general ultrasound services in a modern, patient-centered environment. Our registered sonographers provide accurate, detailed imaging while ensuring a calm and supportive experience. Ultrasounds are performed only when clinically necessary and play an important role in guiding your care.
Ultrasounds are detailed diagnostic exams that require the sonographer’s full attention. To ensure the highest quality care and accurate results, children are not permitted in ultrasound rooms.
Ultrasound Office Policies
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any canceled or rescheduled ultrasound appointments.
Obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds require a follow-up visit with your provider to review results.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted in the ultrasound room during the exam.
Obstetrical Ultrasound
After your obstetrical ultrasound, we provide digital images and videos via text, giving you secure, convenient access to share these special moments with family and friends.
Gynecologic Ultrasound
Pelvic ultrasounds are used to assess the uterus and ovaries. A full bladder is recommended for patients under the age of 18 or who are not sexually active. We ask that these patients drink 24oz of fluid 1 hour before their appointment.
General Ultrasound
General ultrasounds are offered to established patients and must be ordered by a Coastal provider. Images are read by Spectrum radiologists, ensuring accuracy across all imaging services. Scheduling will notify you of any prep instructions at the time of booking.
